About Etiwanda PDF Print E-mail

Our Mission

Agriculture is the most complex and mentally and physically demanding of all professions. It also has the greatest influence on all mankind.  Dr. Arden B. Anderson

Where is EtiwandaTo be the number one Performance Recorded White Dorper Stud in the Australia, whilst providing professional service and advice and catering for the individual needs of our clients.

The Mosely family properties, Etiwanda & Manuka Stations are over 26,000 hectares, located near Cobar, in the semi-arid Western Division of NSW. Our business is managed holistically as a family operation, working on balancing social, environmental and economic outcomes, both now and for future generations.
Both Andrew and Megan have been recognised at the highest levels for their work and motivation to rural Australia. Megan was runner up in the 2003 Rural Women’s Award from a field of 150 highly motivated women and Andrew was a runner up in the 2004 inaugural NSW Young Farmers Award for excellence in farming achieving sound environmental, social and financial outcomes.

Interestingly - "Etiwanda" is a Nth American word meaning 'Place of Peace" and to us and many who visit here , the property certainly has a peaceful presence. A lovely place to live and raise our children.

The property supports the following 5 enterprises:

• A White Dorper Stud consisting of 500 Performance recorded Fullblood animals with expansion plans under way, after seeing these animals survive and perform exceptionally well in the semi arid Western Division.

• A commercial lamb enterprise. Joining White Dorper rams to 2000 White Suffolk, Merino and crossbred ewes.

• A commercial meat goat enterprise running 3000 breeding does, supplying local and export markets.

• A Commercial Cattle operation joining composite (Charolais / Angus / Santa bulls) to Santa Gertrudis/Shorthorn cross females.

• Opportunity cropping (wheat and oats) to renovate and restore the country to open perennial grasslands.

If you eat ....you are a partner in farming.
