We were very, very pleased with the the interest in the Etiwanda National Sale Ram team this year, they are three exceptionally nice rams. Our focus on Lambplan performance recording is shining through as people come to understand the importance of using Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBV's) as a ram buying selection tool. It is always a daunting task to try and select the right ram from a shed full of well prepared sheep - ASBV's provide extra information on traits (like eye muscle depth & maternal traits),  that cannot be assessed by the naked eye, giving you more chance of selecting the animal that will take your breeding programme in the direction you wish to go.

We were kept very in the pre-sale inspections, with a constant flow of enquiry about the animals we had on offer and our Etiwanda breeding philosophies. The average of the Etiwanda team was $4083.00/hd ex GST which is the 3rd highest average of all the 36 studs that sold at this sale.

Pre-sale interest was very high with 145 registered bidders, the inspection pens were full to overflowing as people worked through the animals on offer. Extra seating was required to fit the crowd that attended this years sale - the crowd contained, not only a large number of bidders, but also a great number of people coming to see the breed and inspect the animals on offer.
