Rangeland goats have been a part of our operation since the 1980’s. We have developed the fencing infrastructure on Etiwanda to a point now that the operation is a farmed goat enterprise. It is a very simple operation and it is one of the most profitable ones we run.

We draft and keep the better bush does & a few of the better bucks (good framed, better muscled, smooth coated, structurally correct animals are what we look for) and sell the remainder to the meat market. We have recently started to introduce better meat bucks with a percentage of Boer or Kalahari infusion to add meat and weight. The rangeland goats are highly adapted to the area, and they have phenomenal fertility, mothering ability & survival traits.  We want to maintain these traits and just add a bit of extra weight.
